Brahms in 1890’s Vienna: Learning about Chamber Music features the Brahms Clarinet Trio in A minor Opus 114, setting the music in a story about Brahms and his city, Vienna, Austria. Music listening guides and music games explore the elements of music, and players move characters through the historical sites of Vienna and are introduced to famous individuals of the period, such as artist Gustav Klimt. Resources and additional information can be found by clicking on “Café Central," and at the end of the story, kids can enjoy three related game experiences in Prater Park. A standards-based lesson plan is available to teachers complete with downloads about art and history/architecture.
